Free class, winter timetable, exciting new teachers

Dear yogis

I will be leaving this Sunday for Berlin where I will be teaching over the European summer and attending various yoga workshops and a yoga retreat. I can’t wait to share these yoga teachings with you on my return to Sydney mid September.

From 1 July to 15 September we will be running a reduced Winter timetable. I am very excited to announce that two fabulous, experienced teachers will be covering the 7:30pm Monday class in Erskineville whilst I am away. Sarah de Graff will cover for the next three weeks – see her bio below – and Doug Whittaker will cover for the remaining period on his return from his European yoga teaching tour.

The weather is absolutely perfect at the moment for enjoy a vigorous dynamic vinyasa yoga class. We have two heaters to keep you warm during the class. Just remember to bring along an extra layer for the relaxing Shavasana at the end of class.

FREE Winter Warmer yoga class this Thursday 7pm,  Erskineville

As a thank you to all the lovely yogis who have been coming to yoga in Erskineville, there is a FREE winter warmer yoga glass this Thursday.  Feel free to bring friends and loved ones to this free class which is guaranteed to shake off the winter blues !

NEW Yogawallah CD – 60 Minute Vinyasa Class: Riding the wave of the breath

Finding it difficult to make it to class, or perhaps you would like to start a home practice… this professionally produced Audio CD contained a balanced, vigorous yet calming yoga practice, with clear instructions to enable you to practice without the need for a visual guide.

The CD is only $12 and is available at the Free Thursday class, and also at the 9am Saturday class in Erskineville. There will also be some copies for sale at the Monday classes.

Yoga on Rochford, Winter Timetable 1 July to 15 September: Mondays 7:30pm with the highly talented Sarah de Graff

Sarah did her first training at Samadhi Yoga, with Katie Manitsas, and is a Certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher. She has also trained in Pranayama Yoga Therapy.  Sarah teaches Jivamukti yoga, and Vinyasa but also loves the practices that balance a dynamic practice or dynamic life. She has taught Yoga Nidra the past four years and is a passionate believer in it’s benefits. She teaches yoga to groups of adults with Autism and a spectrum of psychiatric challenges. She believes that yoga is available to everyone if they want it, regardless of physical or other limitation.
Sarah’s teaching is a form of activism, a way to facilitate peoples experience to expand, to fill out their body, breath, mind, emotions and spirit and in becoming really present and alive, also becoming awake! She believes the practice of yoga is something that informs all of life, from working to playing, doing the dishes and making lunch.
